Viktor V. Husak is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Ukraine. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry in 2009 and has over fifteen years of academic and research experience spanning teaching, supervision, and funded scientific projects. His research focuses on plant biotechnology, in vitro micropropagation, oxidative stress, environmental toxicology, nanoparticle applications, and Open Science practices. He has led and contributed to nationally and internationally funded projects and received prestigious support from DAAD and Ukrainian research agencies. Through interdisciplinary research, education, and open data initiatives, he actively contributes to sustainable biotechnology, biodiversity conservation, and reproducible science.

He has gained hands-on exposure through internships in clinical data analysis, immunological techniques, and biotechnology product development. Frienson is a DAAD-funded global award recipient, winner of Falling Walls Lab Nepal, and an Asian Scientist 100 Honoree, aspiring to bridge scientific research with societal impact.

Hanan S. Ebrahim is an Associate Professor in the Plant Biotechnology Department, Biotechnology Research Institute, National Research Centre (NRC), Cairo, Egypt. She earned her BSc in Chemistry–Botany from Cairo University, an MSc in plant regeneration and transformation, and a PhD in molecular and physiological studies on salt-stress tolerance. With progressive experience from Assistant Researcher to Associate Professor, her research focuses on plant tissue culture, genetic transformation, metabolic engineering, nano-biotechnology, secondary metabolite production, and genome editing. She has led and contributed to numerous national projects, supervised postgraduate research, reviewed scientific journals, and published extensively, advancing sustainable plant biotechnology and bioactive compound production.

Dr. Jelena Zagorska is a Dr.sc.ing. and Associate Professor at the Latvia University of Life Science and Technology (LBTU), where she has served as a leading researcher since 2016, following previous roles as Assistant Professor and Lecturer. She holds a Doctoral degree in Engineering Sciences (Food Science), a Master’s degree in Sociology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science from Latvia University of Agriculture. Her research focuses on dairy science, plant-based functional foods, sustainable food biotechnology, valorization of by-products, fermentation technologies, and lactobionic acid applications. Dr. Zagorska has led multiple national and international research initiatives, including projects funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the Ministry of Agriculture of Latvia, and Norwegian collaborations promoting innovative food solutions. She has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and international journals, along with a patent related to legume flour applications in sausage production. Her scholarly impact includes a Google Scholar h-index of 13, Scopus h-index of 8. She contributes to the scientific community as a reviewer and invited editor for journals such as Rural Sustainability Research and Dairy. Dr. Zagorska remains dedicated to advancing sustainable food systems through innovative research and academic leadership.
