Gianvito Ragone, born on 14/11/1995, is an Italian academic and researcher who pursued his higher education at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, specializing in plant sciences and agricultural development. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies in 2019, graduating with a score of 108/110, followed by a Master’s degree in Plant Medicine, with honors, in 2021 (110/110 and summa cum laude). Currently, he is working on his PhD in Biodiversity, Agriculture, and Environment at the same institution.

🧪 PROFESSIONAL ENDEAVORS

After completing his studies, Gianvito began his professional career in the agricultural and environmental sectors. He serves as a Public Official in the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, working at the Puglia Region’s Phytosanitary Observatory since June 2022. His work focuses on sustainable agriculture and integrated pest management, especially in olive orchards affected by the Drosophila Suzukii pest. Gianvito is also engaged in the Extraordinary Olive Regeneration Plan in Puglia, collaborating with various agencies to support olive growers.
