He has been awarded the University Research Fellowship (URF) by Periyar University for 2022-24.  He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals on topics such as biomedical nanomaterials, cancer biology, environmental nanotoxicology and biomedical sensors. He has led and contributed to major projects including system development in cement plants, revised plant layout and material handling design, microstructural/mechanical characterization of plasma‑arc welded 316L, development of aluminum–stainless steel transition joints via cold metal transfer for cryogenic use, and the synthesis and evaluation of Al‑based nanocomposites with CNT, graphene nanoplatelets, and hBN reinforcements. He has hands‑on experience with XRD (residual stress), SEM, optical microscopy, TEM sample prep, Vickers microhardness, and wear testing. His research interests lie in material science, powder metallurgy, welding, and non‑conventional machining.
