Hatay Mustafa Kemal University | Turkey

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nadire Pelin Bahadırlı is a distinguished scholar in medicinal and aromatic plants, recognized for her extensive contributions to essential oil chemistry, plant genetics, and postharvest biology. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Çukurova University and completed her second master’s and PhD in Field Crops at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, where she conducted pioneering research on Salvia hybridization, SSR-based molecular characterization, and aromatic plant quality traits. Beginning her career as a Research Assistant in 2012, she later served as Assistant Professor (2022–2024) and currently holds the position of Associate Professor. Dr. Bahadırlı’s research focuses on essential oil composition, hybridization breeding, molecular diversity, postharvest quality, and bioactive properties of medicinal plants. She has published widely in international journals and contributed chapters to scientific books. Her work spans diurnal and seasonal essential oil dynamics, antimicrobial and anticancer properties of plant extracts, and advanced characterization techniques. A recipient of the IFEAT Young Scientist Fellowship Award (2017), she continues to advance innovative research, mentor students, and contribute to global scientific collaboration in plant science and aromatic crops.
