Dr. Parastoo Majidian is an Assistant Professor in the Crop and Horticultural Science Research Department at the Mazandaran Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education Center, AREEO, Iran. She holds a PhD in Plant Breeding–Genetic Engineering and Molecular Genetics (2016) and an MSc in Plant Biotechnology, both from Sari University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, and a BSc in Plant Pathology from the University of Mazandaran.  Her research focuses on genetic diversity, molecular marker-assisted breeding, abiotic stress tolerance, Prunus genetics, microbial regulation systems, and crop improvement. She has contributed significantly to understanding genetic relationships in apricot, almond, Prunus rootstocks, date palm, saffron, and microbial gene regulation in Bacillus subtilis. Her work also extends to plant biotechnology applications in agriculture and sustainable crop production. Dr. Majidian has collaborated internationally and received recognition for her contributions to molecular breeding and genetic conservation. She continues to advance research and innovation aimed at enhancing crop resilience, genetic resource management, and sustainable agricultural development.

Dr. Ola Ahmed El‑Sayed El‑Gammal is a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt. She holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry (Inorganic) from Mansoura University and has accumulated more than three decades of academic and research experience, progressing from Demonstrator to Full Professor. Her prolific research portfolio spans the synthesis and structural elucidation of metal‑ion complexes, thiosemicarbazones, hydrazones and Schiff‑base ligands, employing advanced techniques (FTIR, UV‑VIS, NMR, mass spectrometry, TGA/DTA, AAS, conductance, magnetic measurements) and computational tools (DFT molecular modelling, molecular docking). She has published over 3 documents and garnered in excess of 114 citations, achieving an h‑index of 3, evidencing sustained scholarly impact. Her work covers applications in corrosion inhibition, environmental remediation, biomedical cytotoxic studies and sustainable agriculture, and she has supervised dozens of M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses. Recognised internationally, she features in the Stanford‑University “Top 2% of the world’s scientists” list across multiple years, and has received awards such as the Mansoura University Scientific Excellence Award. Through leadership in teaching, curriculum development and laboratory innovation, Dr. El‑Gammal continues advancing inorganic and environmental chemistry at the interface of academia and industry.
