Albert Novas Somanje is an agricultural sustainability specialist with over 18 years of experience in climate-resilient farming systems, policy engagement, and institutional capacity building. He holds a PhD in Sustainability Science from the United Nations University and advanced training in climate change and development. Currently serving as Principal Agricultural Officer in Zambia’s Ministry of Agriculture, he has led national and provincial programs in conservation agriculture, sustainable mechanization, and ecosystem restoration in collaboration with FAO, UNDP, and WFP. His research focuses on climate-smart technologies, sustainable intensification, and extension systems, with international recognition through DAAD fellowship, peer-reviewed publications, and IPCC AR6 contributions, advancing evidence-based agricultural transformation.

Dr. Nawal Abdo M. Abu Q. Alhajaj is a senior researcher and Head of the Cereals and Legumes Research Division at the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), Jordan. She holds a PhD in Horticulture and Field Crops from the University of Jordan, with earlier degrees in field crop production and plant production. With nearly two decades of research experience, her work focuses on wheat and barley breeding, participatory and evolutionary plant breeding, crop genetic resources, and climate change adaptation. She has led several national and international projects, published extensively, received multiple awards of excellence, and actively contributes to regional and international scientific forums, advancing sustainable food security in dryland systems.

Tigabu Redae Alle is an Ethiopian forestry researcher with more than a decade of professional experience in forest science, biodiversity, ecosystem management, and climate-change–oriented forestry research. Since 2013, he has served at the Sirinka Agricultural Research Center (SARC) under the Amhara Agricultural Research Institute, progressing from junior roles to Associate Researcher in Forestry and holding leadership responsibilities such as Coordinator of the Forestry and Agroforestry Research Directorate. He holds a PhD in Forest Sciences from Sokoine University of Agriculture, an MSc in Forest Management and Climate Change, and a BSc in General Forestry. contributing to journals such as Trees, Forests and People, Heliyon, Abyssinia Journal of Science and Technology, and Ethiopian Journal of Science & Technology. His research focuses on agroforestry systems, invasive pests, forest resource management, Ziziphus fruit tree species, Eucalyptus pest ecology, climate change adaptation, biodiversity assessment, and sustainable forest utilization. He has received prestigious scholarships from EEFRI, SIDA, ILRI, and WCDI, along with certificates of appreciation for training and community contributions. Tigabu aims to advance sustainable forestry solutions, strengthen climate-resilient landscapes, and support rural livelihoods through science-based forest management.
