Changlu Hu is an Associate Professor at the College of Natural Resources and Environment, Northwest A&F University. He earned his PhD in Soil Science and MSc in Plant Nutrition Science from Northwest A&F University, following a bachelor’s degree in natural resource sciences. His academic experience centers on dryland agroecosystems, with a strong focus on nitrogen and water management in cereal crops. His research integrates agronomy, soil fertility, and resource-use efficiency to enhance crop productivity while reducing environmental losses. He has led and contributed to nationally funded research projects and published extensively in high-impact journals, contributing to sustainable dryland agriculture and soil–crop system optimization.
