Ashraf Ahmed Reda Mohamed El-Shamy is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) at Ain Shams University, Egypt, with extensive academic and professional experience. He holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University, specializing in geotechnical and foundation engineering. His experience spans teaching, advanced numerical modeling, and leadership in major infrastructure and mega construction projects across Egypt. His research interests include swelling and collapsible soils, tunneling-induced settlement, soil–structure interaction, and unsaturated soil behavior. Through impactful publications, project leadership, and applied research, he contributes to resilient and innovative geotechnical engineering practice.
