Asabeneh Alemayehu Munuyee is a senior researcher in forest economics and policy with over ten years of experience in natural capital valuation, ecosystem services, and socio-ecological systems. He holds multiple master’s degrees in geo-informatics, natural resource economics, and tropical forestry, including DAAD-funded training in Germany. Currently serving as Senior Researcher and Program Coordinator at Ethiopian Forestry Development, he leads interdisciplinary, policy-relevant research using advanced econometric and spatial methods. Linchao Li is an agricultural and environmental scientist specializing in climate change impacts on crop systems, extreme weather analysis, and data-driven yield prediction. He is currently an Associate Professor at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University, with international research experience as a joint PhD student at the NSW Department of Primary Industries, Australia. Dr. Li earned his PhD in Agricultural Resources and Environment from Northwest A&F University, following a master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Water Conservation Engineering. His research integrates machine learning, crop modeling, and multi-source environmental data to improve projections of crop yield, drought risk, precipitation extremes, and greenhouse gas emissions under climate change. He has published extensively in leading journals such as One Earth, Nature Food, Global Change Biology, Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, and Communications Earth & Environment. His work contributes to reducing uncertainty in agricultural climate impact assessments and supporting climate-resilient farming systems. Dr. Li has participated in nationally and internationally funded research projects related to climate adaptation, drought evolution, and sustainable agriculture. With strong expertise in R, MATLAB, GIS, APSIM, AquaCrop, and hydrological models, he continues to advance interdisciplinary research bridging climate science, agronomy, and decision-support systems.

Stephanie M. Coronado is a postdoctoral fellow in the Geography and Environmental Science Program at the University of South Florida, where she began her appointment. She earned her PhD in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz (2013). Her research centers on ant–plant mutualisms, canopy ecology, tropical agroforestry and herbivore-community assembly — for example exploring how keystone ant species shape arboreal ant diversity and how plant–ant mutualists influence caterpillar communities. She has published peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution and Biotropica, and has additional manuscripts in preparation for submission to high-impact journals. Her research contributions include investigations of species-pool effects, ontogeny of mutualistic ant-plants, and agroecological biodiversity patterns. Recognized for her work with awards such as the Outstanding Graduate Student Assistant Award (University of Nevada, Reno, 2024) and the Diana Hadley-Lynch Scholarship (2023-24), she also contributes as a peer-reviewer for multiple ecology and entomology journals. In her ongoing career she aims to deepen our mechanistic understanding of how biotic interactions drive diversity patterns under global change.
