Dr. Naveen Chandra Pandey began his academic journey at Kumaun University, Nainital, where he earned a B.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry in 2006. His passion for the natural world continued as he pursued a Master’s degree in Botany from the same institution, graduating in 2008. Dr. Pandey’s academic commitment culminated in a Ph.D. in Botany from Kumaun University in 2020. Further expanding his knowledge, he completed the PGDESD program from IGNOU in 2022, specializing in Environment and Sustainable Development.

Dr. Pandey has had a diverse and enriching career. His early professional experience includes roles such as Field Research Fellow at Lok Chetna Manch NGO (2010-2014) and Herbarium Assistant at the Regional Ayurvedic Research Institute (2014-2015). Gianvito Ragone, born on 14/11/1995, is an Italian academic and researcher who pursued his higher education at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, specializing in plant sciences and agricultural development. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies in 2019, graduating with a score of 108/110, followed by a Master’s degree in Plant Medicine, with honors, in 2021 (110/110 and summa cum laude). Currently, he is working on his PhD in Biodiversity, Agriculture, and Environment at the same institution.

🧪 PROFESSIONAL ENDEAVORS

After completing his studies, Gianvito began his professional career in the agricultural and environmental sectors. He serves as a Public Official in the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, working at the Puglia Region’s Phytosanitary Observatory since June 2022. His work focuses on sustainable agriculture and integrated pest management, especially in olive orchards affected by the Drosophila Suzukii pest. Gianvito is also engaged in the Extraordinary Olive Regeneration Plan in Puglia, collaborating with various agencies to support olive growers.

Previously, Gianvito held roles as an Agronomy Consultant at Tersan Puglia, where he worked on various agronomic projects. He also completed internships at Agriproject, contributing to the development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) for irrigation in table grape cultivation.
