Dr. Naveen Chandra Pandey began his academic journey at Kumaun University, Nainital, where he earned a B.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry in 2006. His passion for the natural world continued as he pursued a Master’s degree in Botany from the same institution, graduating in 2008. Dr. Pandey’s academic commitment culminated in a Ph.D. in Botany from Kumaun University in 2020. Further expanding his knowledge, he completed the PGDESD program from IGNOU in 2022, specializing in Environment and Sustainable Development.

Dr. Pandey has had a diverse and enriching career. His early professional experience includes roles such as Field Research Fellow at Lok Chetna Manch NGO (2010-2014) and Herbarium Assistant at the Regional Ayurvedic Research Institute (2014-2015). Dr. Om Prakash, born on December 10, 1988, in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, displayed a deep interest in environmental sciences from an early age. Raised in a rural setting, his fascination with nature led him to pursue a robust academic foundation. He completed his Matriculation in 2005 and 10+2 (Medical Science) in 2008 with a strong focus on science subjects. Building on this, he achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences from Himachal Pradesh University in 2011, followed by a B.Ed. in 2012. Driven by a commitment to understanding environmental challenges, he completed his M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences in 2014 at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh and culminated his academic journey with a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences in 2023 from Kumaun University, Nainital.

Dr. Prakash’s career reflects a decade of dedicated service in environmental research and policy implementation. His tenure at the G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development marked the start of his professional journey. In 2018, he joined the Horticulture Department of Himachal Pradesh as an Environment Safeguard Specialist under a World Bank-funded project.
