Early Academic Pursuits
Şenol Çelik began his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Anadolu University in 1992. He pursued his first Master’s degree in Non-Thesis Statistics from Ankara University in 2003, followed by a second thesis-based Master’s degree in 2006. His master’s thesis focused on “Normal Distribution and Its Related Inferences,” supervised by Fahrettin Arslan. He earned his Ph.D. in 2013 from Ankara University’s Institute of Natural Sciences in the Department of Animal Science (Zootechnics), with a dissertation on “Time Series Analysis and Its Application to Traffic Accident Data,” under the guidance of Zahide Kocabaş.
Professional Endeavors
Dr. Çelik has held several significant academic positions at Bingöl University. He was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2014, Associate Professor in 2020, and has served as the Head of the Department of Biometry and Genetics, and later as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture. Additionally, he served as Head of the Department of Fisheries Engineering between 2015–2017. He is currently involved in the Faculty Board and Executive Board as a senior academic member.
