Dr. Om Prakash, born on December 10, 1988, in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, displayed a deep interest in environmental sciences from an early age. Raised in a rural setting, his fascination with nature led him to pursue a robust academic foundation. He completed his Matriculation in 2005 and 10+2 (Medical Science) in 2008 with a strong focus on science subjects. Building on this, he achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences from Himachal Pradesh University in 2011, followed by a B.Ed. in 2012. Driven by a commitment to understanding environmental challenges, he completed his M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences in 2014 at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh and culminated his academic journey with a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences in 2023 from Kumaun University, Nainital.

Dr. Prakash’s career reflects a decade of dedicated service in environmental research and policy implementation. His tenure at the G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development marked the start of his professional journey.
