He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Thiruvalluvar University, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of pure and doped TiO₂ for photocatalytic applications, followed by an M.Phil. in Nuclear Physics from the University of Madras and an M.Sc. in Physics from Annamalai University. His research includes solar cells, photocatalysts, green nanotechnology, energy-storage materials, and biomedical applications such as anticancer and antidiabetic studies. Dr. Govindhan received the Best Researcher Award from ScienceFather and is recognized for discovering the Photon-Induced Method for material synthesis.
