Dimitrios Adamis is a consultant psychiatrist and academic researcher with established expertise in adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and delirium. He completed doctoral training at University College Dublin and holds honorary professorial appointments at the University of Galway, the University of Limerick, and University College Dublin. His professional experience combines clinical psychiatry within public health systems with advanced academic research, particularly in outcome measurement and longitudinal data analysis. Research interests focus on adult ADHD, delirium, attention disorders, neuropsychiatric comorbidities, and the development and validation of clinical assessment tools. He has led and contributed to numerous national and international research projects and has authored 139 peer-reviewed scientific documents, accumulating 3,032 citations with an h-index of 30, reflecting sustained research impact. He developed the Adult ADHD Clinical Outcome Scale , a widely used tool for assessing treatment outcomes, and co-authored Ireland’s national “Model of Care for ADHD in Adults,” contributing directly to service development and health policy. His work on delirium has advanced understanding of its epidemiology, subtypes, and diagnostic challenges, particularly in older adults.
