Dr. Marina López-Pozo is a plant ecophysiologist with a PhD in Environmental Agrobiology and over a decade of international research experience spanning Europe, the United States, and extreme environments including Antarctica. Her work integrates plant stress physiology, photosynthesis, controlled-environment agriculture, and space crop science, with leadership roles in NASA- and DOE-funded projects. She has contributed to innovative research on duckweed, plant–microbe interactions, and sustainable food systems for space and Earth. Dr. López-Pozo is an accomplished author in high-impact journals, an expert evaluator and editor, a dedicated mentor, and a recognized contributor to advancing resilient, future-ready agriculture.
