Dr. Srivastava earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants/AcSIR, where he investigated essential oils of the Lamiaceae family, isolating and characterizing multiple novel compounds with promising biological activities. His doctoral research advanced understanding of stereochemistry in terpenoids and chemotypic variations in Ocimum species. Before this, he completed his M.Sc. in Chemistry at HNB Garhwal University, with a strong foundation in organic and analytical chemistry. His undergraduate studies at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University further strengthened his expertise in chemical sciences, providing the academic foundation for his specialization in natural product chemistry.

Dr. Srivastava currently serves as Deputy Manager (R&D) at DS Group, Noida, where he leads analytical method development, natural product authentication, and quality assessment of fragrance ingredients. He has previously worked as Assistant Manager (R&D) at Goel Group, where he developed GC-MS and NMR-based profiling protocols, standardized quality specifications, and applied international guidelines for essential oils and oleoresins.
